Hello, I've ben a Customer for a LONG time now, over 3 years for sure.

For the last few weeks, randomly others will not be able to hear me, although I can hear them fine. I won't know about the problem until I sart to hear hello, hello ?? then click ! they can't hear me. always after some connection time. We restart everthing, but the problem eventually returns. the probelm appears random, but once it starts, will remain until we bounce everything, although sometimes will dissapear on it s own too.

The VT1005v is connected directly to a Toshiba PCS2600 provided by comcast. I have blocked ports 23 as 37 as suggested in the forum.

Here are the details as requested in the sticky:

1. Your location
Houston TX

others will not be able to hear me, although I can hear them fine. I won't know about the problem until I sart to hear hello, hello ?? then click !
8. Run this VoIP Test: After the test has fully completed, in the Advanced Tab, click on "View Text" in the lower right hand corner. Copy-N-Paste that data into your post.

At 2.8%, your packet loss is a bit high. Do you get consistent results if you repeat the test?

Yeah, packet loss looks like its your cause, at least from those test results. Your upload speed also looks a little low. While you certainly have enough to use Vonage (you only need about 90 kbps and your test results are nearly 250 kbps), if I recall, for 8-10 mbps download speed, you should have around 300-400 kbps upload. A low upload speed can indicate a problem, especially since its in the direction you are reporting the audio problem.

Audio quality exponentially falls as packet loss increases. You want at close to no loss as possibly but definately less than 1%. The packet loss will need to be reported to your Internet provider for repair.
